Your words.
Your story.

Your time.

Writing a book is hard enough. We take the guesswork out of what comes next.

We support writers like you through meaningful manuscript feedback, editing, coaching, and publishing guidance designed to help you understand the industry and your story’s place within it.

We don’t make promises about destiny…but we’ll help you be ready for it when it comes.

A Letter to Writers

A stack of worn, old notebooks with colorful sticky notes and a note on top reading, 'Fix chapter 12, Call editor, Don't overthink' on a wooden table. A calico cat peeks from behind the wall, and a glass vase of white dried flowers is in the background.

As a writer, it’s all exhausted fun until you write The End. Because…then what?

After months—years—of labor to produce your work, there is yet more work ahead. It’ll take more research. Charisma. A stiff spine. Humility. And no small amount of luck. You’ve come this far, but all of that can feel not only daunting, but frankly…a bit lonely. Who can you trust?

The good news is, you’re not alone. The bad news is…you’re not alone.

You’re fiercely proud of your writing, but you need others to feel that way about it, too. Truth be told, whether friends, family, arc reader, editor, or agent, when I hand my writing to someone else for scrutiny, my spine gets about as stiff as a dandelion run over by a Monster Truck. So many fears race through my mind: Will they like it? Will other people like it? …Is it good enough?

And receiving rejections from a query (or several…dozen) or a sour critique, our resilience thins, our patience frays, and our heart aches. It can even make us question our calling to write. The most difficult part of taking the next step is silencing those outside (and, let’s be honest, inside) naysayers so that we can keep going.

But here we are, daring the world to give us a reason to write about it.

That brings me to who we are. I’m an English teacher by trade and a writer at heart, so I approach every manuscript like I do my students’ writing: with empathy and pride. Pride in the fact that you are keeping creativity alive. Pride that I hope you feel in your accomplishments. And, most importantly…hope.

…Hope that you’ll benefit from our time together, and hope that you’ll remember you have someone in your corner, cheering for you and your work, from first ink to store shelves.

You’re in the company of writers and educators who love writing, and who lift up the people who are brave enough to try. (And for those of you who need to silence that little voice in the back of your head: No, we will not steal or share your story with someone else. We just aren’t wired that way.)

You deserve to have authorship be more than a dream.

The Path Forward Assessment - Our Flagship Service!
from $0.00

You've written the book. Now what? The Path Forward Assessment provides a professional evaluation of your manuscript, publishing options, and next steps, plus personalized guidance tailored to your goals.

This comprehensive package includes:

  • Two Coffee Chats: We’ll schedule a Coffee Chat before work begins to talk through your goals, then we’ll meet again to go over the results.

  • Manuscript Readiness Review: We’ll evaluate your manuscript, then assess its readiness for querying, publishing, or if it needs additional editorial work. Think of it as a big-picture look at where your project stands today, what it's doing well, and what may need attention before moving forward. This is not a line-by-line edit or developmental critique.

  • Query Package Assessment: A full review of your existing query package, plus cross referencing comparable titles. No query package yet? No problem! We’ll offer resources, examples, and guidance for creating it.

  • Publishing Path Analysis: The pros, cons, risks, expectations, and warning signs for the different types of publishing avenues out there (there are multiple!), with our recommendations, but ultimately you decide which fits best.

  • Personalized Roadmap: An easy-to-read order of operations based on your manuscript’s status and steps for reaching your goals.

Proofreading is like endgame content: We’ll seek out the grammar gremlins at the sentence level to leave you with a polished product, but without losing your voice.

Why pay for a professional proofreader? AI is a great tool for a lot of reasons, but it’s problematic when it comes to editing: It flattens tone, sounds robotic, doesn’t understand intent or your sense of humor, AND readers can easily recognize it. It even has its own name in the reader world: “AI Slop.” I understand the thrill of getting your book out there and how it’s agonizing to wait for editing and proofreading, but it’s worth it. Give your writing the attention it deserves!

For Businesses

No matter what type of business you run, when a customer is deciding between your organization and someone else's, the details matter. Your marketing materials are often your first handshake with a customer; typos, inconsistent language, and confusing messaging can erode (or eliminate) trust before a conversation even begins.

I'll review your public-facing materials with a professional editorial eye, correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and clarity while highlighting anything that may confuse or distract your audience. The goal isn't just error-free copy, it's helping your business communicate with the confidence and professionalism that establishes credibility and drives retention.
